About AIQuill
AIQuill is an independent AI tool research site for solo creators, indie developers, and small business owners. We help you decide which AI tools are worth your time and money — without the marketing fog.
Who we are
AIQuill is published by the AIQuill Editorial Team. We deliberately don't put individual names or photos on our reviews. The reason is simple: this site exists to help you make a buying decision, not to sell a personal brand. The work — methodology, sources, reasoning — is what should earn your trust, not a face.

How we research
We're transparent about what we do and don't do. We are not a hands-on lab that physically tests every tool we cover. Any site claiming first-hand testing across dozens of AI tools is usually exaggerating. Instead, every guide on this site is built from:
- Official vendor sources — documentation, pricing pages, release notes, changelogs. We re-check these every time a guide is updated.
- Independent user reviews at scale — G2, Trustpilot, Capterra, product subreddits, and Hacker News threads. We weight verified-buyer reviews heavily and discount obvious shill or astroturf patterns.
- Public technical benchmarks — where independent benchmarks exist (deliverability tests, model leaderboards, performance reports), we cite them rather than invent our own.
- Direct usage when applicable — for tools we actually use to run this site (writing assistants, scheduling tools, hosting, automation), we share what we've learned. We say "we use this" explicitly when we do, and we don't pretend to have used tools we haven't.
- AI-assisted drafting with human editorial review — we use AI to draft structure and synthesize sources, then a human editor revises every published post for accuracy, removes generic claims, and adds the editorial judgment that determines the recommendation.
What we won't do
- We won't claim to have personally tested tools we haven't.
- We won't publish fabricated case studies, fake screenshots, or invented usage statistics.
- We won't accept payment for positive coverage. Vendors cannot pay to be ranked higher.
- We won't rank a tool we wouldn't recommend just because it pays a higher commission.
How we make money
This site participates in affiliate programs. When you click an affiliate link and make a qualifying purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This funds the research time that goes into each guide.
Affiliate relationships do not influence rankings or recommendations. We routinely recommend tools without affiliate programs and decline to recommend tools that pay well but underperform. See our Affiliate Disclosure for full details.

Found something wrong? Pricing changed? A feature we missed? Email hello@aiquill.app with the correction and we'll update the post. Each guide carries a "Last reviewed" date so you can see when it was last checked.
